FW: A Poem that gives you goosebumps!

A Poem That Gives You Goosebumps...

A drunk man in an Oldsmobile

They said had run the light

That caused the six-car pileup

On 109 that night.

When broken bodies lay about
"And blood was everywhere,"
"The sirens screamed out eulogies,"
For death was in the air.
"A mother, trapped inside her car,"
Was heard above the noise;
Her plaintive plea near split the air:
"Oh, God, please spare my
boys!"
She fought to loose her pinned hands;
"She struggled to get free,"
But mangled metal held her fast

In grim captivity.
Her frightened eyes then focused
"On where the back seat once had been,"

But all she saw was broken glass and
Two children's seats crushed in.
Her twins were nowhere to be seen;
"She did not hear them cry, "
"And then she prayed they'd been thrown free, "
"Oh, God, don't let them die! "
Then firemen came and cut her loose,
"But when they searched the back, "
"They found therein no little boys, "
But the seat belts were intact.

They thought the woman had gone mad
"And was traveling alone, "
"But when they turned to question her, "
They discovered she was gone.
Policemen saw her running wild
And screaming above the noise
"In beseeching supplication, "
Please help me find my boys!
They're four years old and wear blue shirts;
"Their jeans are blue to match.""
"One cop spoke up, ""They're in my car, "
And they don't have a scratch.
They said their daddy put them there
"And gave them each a cone, "
Then told them both to wait for Mom
To come and take them home.
"I've searched the area high and low, "
But I can't find their dad.
"He must have fled the scene, "
"I guess, and that is very bad."
"The mother hugged the twins and said, "
"While wiping at a tear, "
"He could not flee the scene, you see, "
"For he's been dead a year."

"The cop just looked confused and asked, "
"Now, how can that be true? "
"The boys said, ""Mommy, Daddy came "
"And left a kiss for you."" "
He told us not to worry
"And that you would be all right, "
And then he put us in this car with
"The pretty, flashing light. "
"We wanted him to stay with us, "
"Because we miss him so, "
"But Mommy, he just hugged us tight "
And said he had to go.
He said someday we'd
understand
"And told us not to fuss, "
"And he said to tell you, Mommy, "
"He's watching over us."
The mother knew without a doubt
"That what they spoke was true, "
"For she recalled their dad's last words, "
" I will watch over you."
The firemen's notes could not explain
"The twisted, mangled car, "
And how the three of them escaped
Without a single scar.
"But on the cop's report was scribed, "

"In print so very fine, "
An angel walked the beat tonight on Highway 109.
"The 7 Second Prayer, Just repeat this phrase and see how God moves.
"Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless my
family, my home, my friends, and me. Amen. "

Qoutes

*If you love someone, put their name in a circle instead of a heart. Hearts can break, but circles go on forever*

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature
is that all of us tend to put off living.

We are all dreaming
of some magical rose garden over the horizon
instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming
outside our windows today.

God Will Provide...

There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old shotgun and three bullets. So, he decided that he would go out and kill something for dinner.

As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit and he shot at the rabbit and missed it. Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel and missed it. As he went further, he saw a wild turkey in the tree and he had only one bullet, but a voice came to him and said "pray first, aim high and stay focused."

However, at the same time, he saw deer which was a better kill. He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattle snake between his legs about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattle snake.

Still, the voice said again to him, "I said 'pray, aim high and stay focused." So, the man decided to listen to the voice. He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree and shot the wild turkey. The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer. The handle fell off the gun and hit the snake in the head and killed it.

And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond. When he stood to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer and a turkey to eat.

The snake (Satan) was dead simply because the man listened to God.

***Bottom line:

Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God. Pass this on in order that someone else might be blessed. Never let others discourage you concerning your past. The past is exactly that - " the past." Live every day one day at a time. And remember that only God knows our future and that he will not put you through any more than you can bear. Do not look to man for your blessings but look to the Lord. He can open doors for you that only He is able to do. Doors that you will not slip through but doors that only He has prepared in advance for you in your favor.

Wait, and be still, patient:
keep God first and everything else will follow

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
P.S. When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say,
"Waheguru, could you please get that for me?"
NAAM
Naam is the life-principle in all that lives,
Naam is the Creator of Heavens and nether lands,
Naam is the Manifester of all forms.
Naam is the sub-strata of all regions,
Naam is the liberator from all bondage.
**************************************
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.
She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."
He said..... "Then I thank you from my heart." As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Year's later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.
He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.
She read these words.....
"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed)
Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed:
"Thank You, God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."
Now you have two choices.
You can send this page on and spread a positive message.
Or ignore it and pretend it never touched your heart.
We AQUARIANS ....WE ROCK AND RULE
I am an Aquarian and I have found the best Blog for kin like us it is : http://aquariandigest.blogspot.com/ it's the ultimate of its type and God Bless the Soul
Gift Ideas for Aquarians
If you're wondering what to give your favorite Aquarian for Christmas, here are some ideas from Aquarian Digest.
Aquarians are probably the least materialistic of all zodiac signs. In general they are the least likely to spend a lot of time in shopping malls - especially at Christmas. Many Aquarians pride themselves on being somewhat 'bohemian' and not towing to the mainstream consumer culture. But this doesn't mean Aquarians don't like gifts!
If your Aquarian female was born in February then Amethyst is her gemstone of choice. The funky earrings on the right are only two dollars on Amazon! The beautiful 14K gold amethyst drop earrings on the left are $39.00. Check out the amethyst birthstone selection at Amazon here (and also the garnet selection for January birthdays.)
Aquarius loves electronic gadgets more than most people in the general population. More than any other sign, Aquarians are the 'early adoptors' when it comes to new technology gadgets. They especially enjoy computers and any useful related accessories.
One Christmas gift idea could be a webcam. You can buy these for under $40 these days. They now also sell webcams specifically for hooking on to laptops, such as the one shown here. A webcam would probably make a great gift for an Aquarian who wants to see and hear friends or family who live far away. A webcam is also the type of gadget that would especially appeal to an Aquarian with an eight house or Scorpio emphasis in their charts.
Two more very popular items that may be much appreciated gifts for Aquarians would be a digital camera for taking photos of all their friends and posting them online, or one of the cool new iPods for their mobile listening pleasure while out jogging or practising their yoga asanas.
Other jewlery could also be a popular gift, especially for those Aquarians who have some Libra, Leo, Taurus or 2nd and 7th house secondary emphasis in their charts.
Check out some of the Aquarius-related jewelry ideas at Amazon.
Many Aquarians are also keen scrabble players. In fact, if they have some Gemini in their charts mixed with their Aquarian planets, they could be local scrabble champions. If you know your Aquarian enjoys Scrabble, this computer game may be just the ticket for a perfect (and cheap) gift.
Aquarians are an air sign and some Aquarians really enjoy flying kites. Just looking at kites reminds them of freedom. A gift of a kite to hang on their wall could be a cool gift and might be particularly appreciated by Aquarians who also have Virgo or sixth house prominent in their charts.
You can't go wrong with a gift of a book for the typical Aquarian, that is, if you know their preferred subject area very well. For those Aquarians that like to cook, The Barefoot Contessa is a bohemian and immensely popular cookbook. If your Aquarian enjoys good food (and also has some Cancer or Scorpio or 4th/8th house emphasis in their charts) they would probably love this book.
Other book ideas would include something in the internet marketing realm, for any Aquarian with a 9th house/Sagittarian emphasis. One of the bestsellers out there now is How to Buy, Sell and Profit on eBay.
Or, if your Aquarian is "all" Aquarius, they would very likely enjoy a good book on Yoga. The one shown here is written for intelligent people who want the best yoga facts.
For those Aquarians with a 12th house or Pisces emphasis, a great gift idea would be a classic book about Edgar Cayce. This book provides fascinating information for bed-time reading.
A Soul Touching Poem
EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY
Once in Persia reigned a king,
Who upon a signet ring?
Carved a maxim strange and wise,
When held before his eyes,
Gave him counsel at a glance,
Fit for every change and chance:
Solemn words and these they were they: -
“EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY.”
Trains of camel through the sand
Brought him gems from Samarcand,
Fleets of galleys over the seas
Brought him pearls to rival these,
But he counted little gain,
Treasures of the mine or main;
“What is Wealth?” the king would say
“EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY.”
Mid the pleasures of his court
At the zenith of their sport,
When the palms of all his guest
Burned with clapping at his jests,
Seated midst the figs and wine,
Said the king: “Ah, friends of mine,
Pleasure comes but not to stay,
“EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY.”
Woman, fairest ever seen
Was the bride he crowned as queen,
Whispering to his soul, he said
“Though no monarch ever pressed
Fairer bosom to his breast,
Mortal flesh is only clay.
“EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY.”
Fighting on the furious field,
Once a javelin pierced his shield,
Soldiers with a loud lament
Bore him bleeding to his tortured side,
“Pain is hard to bear,” he cried,
“EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY.”
Towering in a Public Square
Forty cubits in the air,
And the king disguised, unknown,
Gazed upon his sculptured name,
And he pondered, “What is fame?”
“Fame is but a slow decay!”
“EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY.”
Struck with palsy, sore and old,
Waiting at the gates of gold,
Said he with his dying breath
“Life is done, but what is Death?”
Then as answer to the king
Fell a sunbeam on his ring,
Showing by a heavenly ray,
“EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY.”
HEALTH TIPS
HEALTH TIPS
Know what to do when you have uncontrollable hiccups or headache. Stung by a bee….well no problem. Here's the solution. Read on.
Bad Breath
For bad breath carry a small bag of cloves, fennel, or anise seeds to chew - for nice smelling breathe at all times.
Toothache
Got an ache in your tooth? Dip a cotton swab in vanilla; scrub the tooth and gum area that's throbbing...and VIOLA! No more toothache! However NEVER substitute this for the dentist.
Treating Bee stings
  • Make a paste using Baking soda and water. Apply to area. It soothes, removes the pain and itch from the sting.
  • Rub a raw onion on a bee sting or mosquitos bite to sooth and take the itch away! Bumps
  • If your child falls and gets a bump on the forehead (or other body part), and won't let you apply ice: put little toothpaste over the area. It helps reduce the swelling.
  • Applying ice on the area is the long standing cure.
Hiccups
  • To stop hiccups, get a spoonful of sugar or a small packet (like you would use in a restaurant). Hold your head back and drop the sugar in. The hiccups will stop!
  • Take deep breath, breathe very slowly and evenly (kind of like you're meditating) in through your nose and out through your mouth. You will get relief.
  • Eat a whole clove to get rid of hiccups.
Soar Throat
For soar throat make fresh lemonade and warm it up and add honey. Helps your sore throat, tastes good and adds fluids to your diet.
Cough/cold
Take vapor rub and apply it on your child's or adult's feet all over and then put on a pair of socks. Your child won't cough for at least 8 hours.
Sun Burns
Use vinegar to soothe the sunburn. Tan Massage honey mixed with glycerin in equal proportions at night. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash with cold water.
Headache
Put your feet in a pail of ice. You will get instant relief.
Splinter Remover
  • If you have a splinter, use a strip of scotch tape and press the tape firmly on the splinter and pull off. This removes many splinters without pulling out the tweezers or needles.
  • If you do have to use tweezers or needles have the child soak the affected area in warm water for at least 10 minutes. This softens the skin area and makes it much easier to remove the splinter. Cool off Keep within ice chest moist washcloths or napkins along with the ice cooled food and drinks. Place that cloth over your head to cool off. You will feel relaxed.
Those teenage years
When you were 13, she suggested a haircut that was becoming.
You thanked her by telling her she had no taste.
When you were 14, she paid for a month away at summer camp.
You thanked her by forgetting to write a single letter.
When you were 15, she came home from work, looking for a hug.
You thanked her by being on the phone all night.
When you were 18, she cried at your high school graduation.
You thanked her by staying out partying until dawn.
Growing old and gray
When you were 19, she paid for your college tuition,
drove you to campus, carried your bags.
You thanked her by saying good-bye outside the dorm so you wouldn't
be embarrassed in front of your friends.
When you were 20, she asked whether you were seeing anyone.
When you were 23, she gave you furniture for your first apartment.
You thanked her by telling your friends it was ugly.
When you were 24, she met your fiance and asked about your
plans for the future. You thanked her by glaring and growling,
"Muuhh-ther, please!"
When you were 25, she helped to pay for your wedding,
and she cried and told you how deeply she loved you.
You thanked her by moving halfway across the country.
When you were 30, she called with some advice on the baby.
You thanked her by telling her, "Things are different now."
When you were 40, she called to remind you of an relative's birthday.
You thanked her by saying you were "really busy right now."
When you were 50, she fell ill and needed you to take care of her.
You thanked her by reading about the burden parents
become to their children.
And then, one day, she quietly died. And everything you never did came
crashing down like thunder.
"Rock me baby, rock me all night long."
"The hand who rocks the cradle...may rock the world".
Let us take a moment of the time just to pay tribute/show appreciation to
the person called MOM though some may not say it openly to their mother.
There's no substitute for her. Cherished every single moment.
Though at times she may not be the best of friends, may not agree to our
thoughts, she is still your mother!!!
She will be there for you...to listen to your woes, your braggings, your
frustations, etc.
Ask yourself.....have you put aside enough time for her, to listen to her
"blues" of working in the kitchen, her tiredness???
Be tactful, loving and still show her due respect though you may have a
different view from hers.
Once gone, only fond memories of the past and also regrets will be left.
BUTTERFLY
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
I asked for Strength.........
And Life gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom.........
And Life gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.........
And Life gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage.........
And Life gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love.........
And Life gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors.........
And Life gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........
I received everything I needed!
Trust in God and Yourself . Always !
Good Morning
Don’t say you’re not important,
It simply isn’t true,
The fact that you were born,
Is proof, God has a plan for you.
The path may seem unclear right now,
But one day you will see,
That all that came before,
Was truly meant to be,
God wrote the book that is Life,
That’s all you need to know.
Each day that you are living,
Was written long ago.
God only writes best sellers,
So be proud of who you are,
Your character is important,
In this book, you are the ‘Star’…
Have a Fabulous Day!
DHANAASAREE, FIFTH MEHL:
DHANAASAREE, FIFTH MEHL:
Body, mind, wealth and everything belong to Him; He alone is all-wise and all-knowing. He listens to my pains and pleasures, and then my condition improves. || 1 || My soul is satisfied with the One Lord alone. People make all sorts of other efforts, but they have no value at all. || Pause || The Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, is a priceless jewel. The Guru has given me this advice. It cannot be lost, and it cannot be shaken off; it remains steady, and I am perfectly satisfied with it. || 2 || Those things which tore me away from You, Lord, are now gone. When golden ornaments are melted down into a lump, they are still said to be gold. || 3 || The Divine Light has illuminated me, and I am filled with celestial peace and glory; the unstruck melody of the Lords Bani resounds within me. Says Nanak, I have built my eternal home; the Guru has constructed it for me. || 4 || 5 ||
Worries Washed Away
You can do this as an experiment: when you are very worried or tense,
just sit by a flowing river or gushing water and just keep looking at
the water. You know, within few moments you feel as though like a
magnetic pull, that your mind is being pulled in the direction of the flow of
water...and in a short while all that anguish, delusion, whatever you
had, [with] the flowing water it all flows away. You become fresh.
