Empty is Full – Anonymous

Your bank balance can be full

Let your mind be empty.

Maintain accounts in balance sheets,

Not ever in your mind.

Record nationality in your Passport,

Erase it from your thoughts.

Mother & Father in your genes is Ok,

Don’t carry them in your mind.

Nations might have enemies

Mind should have none.

Plan meticulously on paper

Don’t clutter your mind.

Jewellery & Title deeds are ok in the locker

Don’t let your mind be burdened with them.

Put down names & surnames on forms,

Obliterate them from the mind.

Let dictionaries get filled with your words

& Meanings while your mind exalts in emptiness.

“Once you have lived with the mountains

for any length of time , you belong to them,

& must return again & again.” - Ruskin Bond

And the last puff of the day wind brought from the unseen villages. The scent of the damp wood smoke, hot cakes, dripping undergrowth & rotting pinecones.

That is the true smell of the Himalayas & if once it creeps into the blood Of a Man, that Man will at last, forgetting all else, return to the mountains To Die.”- Ruskin Bond

All you Need to Know - Robert Fulghum

Most of what I really need to know about how to live & what to do & how to be,

I learned in Kindergarten.

v These are the things I learned.

v Share everything.

v Play fair.

v Don’t hit people.

v Put things back where you found them.

v Clean up your own mess.

v Don’t take things that aren’t yours.

v Say sorry when you hurt somebody.

v Wash your hands before you eat.

v Flush.

v Warm Cookies and cold

milk are good for you.

v Live a balanced life-learn some & think some, and draw, and paint and sing and dance and play and work everyday some.

v Take a nap every afternoon.

v When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together.

v Be aware of wonder.

Worries Washed Away

You can do this as an experiment: when you are very worried or tense,
just sit by a flowing river or gushing water and just keep looking at
the water. You know, within few moments you feel as though like a
magnetic pull, that your mind is being pulled in the direction of the flow of
water...and in a short while all that anguish, delusion, whatever you
had, [with] the flowing water it all flows away. You become fresh.
